British Gas have introduced a price promise whereby you can sign up for fixed prices until the end of January 2012 at the July 30th 2008 rates. This is the longest fixed price product of any energy supplier and means users can budget for their fuel knowing what they will be paying ahead of time.

Earlier this year I moved into my new home and was unsure about which energy provider to go with. I chose one of British Gas's competitors and what a mistake that was! From day one they got everything wrong and didn't even register my details correctly!! I swiftly moved over to British Gas and can only say I wish I had chosen them from the start. I cannot comment on their customer service as the switch went through with no problems and having set up a direct debit paying my bill is now very easy.
